WHEN I worked as an MoD investigator looking into UFOs it was our most mysterious real-life X File. Nothing has changed.
I travelled to Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk yesterday to reopen the investigation into Britain's most famous UFO sighting - with the men who saw it 30 years ago.
In the early hours of Boxing Day, 1980, the pair were on guard when they spotted strange lights in the forest, between US air bases Bentwaters and Woodbridge.
Thinking an aircraft might have crashed, they went to investigate. In a small clearing they encountered a triangular-shaped UFO.
Jim, who got close enough to touch it, described weird symbols like Egyptian hieroglyphs on the craft's side.
As they watched, the UFO started to rise before shooting off at an incredible rate. Jim wrote in his notebook: "Speed: Impossible."

UFO SIGHTING IN MADISON, WISCONSIN ON AUGUST 3RD 2013 - 3 ORANGE/RED FIREBALLS HOVERING OVER MADISON, WI.
Driving eastbound on the beltline at 9:55 pm. Saw 2 bright orange/red fireballs hovering over the beltline. Exited on Midvale, picked up my husband and parked on Midvale outside an elementary school. Then my husband and I witnessed 3 fireballs. They were large enough to be an aircraft and lower than the airplane towers nearby. The fireballs were significantly different than the red lights on the airplane towers. They were glowing intensely. They were moving very slowly southwest toward the Fitchburg/Verona area. Two of the fireballs were in very close proximity to each other, the 3rd was further away and moving a little faster. We got back in our car and tried to drive closer to them and then lost sight of them behind trees. They seemed to be moving together or in a formation.

UFO SIGHTING IN HOUSTON, TEXAS ON JUNE 29TH 2013 - DIMMED IN AND OUT IN A SERIES OF 10 MINUTES, CHANGED DIRECTIONS.
We were leaving my moms home and my husband looked to the east to see a white light, that then disappeared. I told him it was a street lamp or an airplane, since there's always a lot of airplane activity. We took of driving east and the object seemed to have disappeared. Driving down a main street I looked up and the UFO appeared because it lit up again then dimmed out. 10 seconds later it appeared again in a different area, moved much to fast to be a man made object. I was terrified and wanted to cry. We lost track after we starting heading north again.

PORT COLBORNE - Was it a UFO or a hot air balloon?
Actually, it was just a stray balloon from a Saturday night wedding reception.
A representative from Sherkston Shores said a couple was celebrating their wedding at the beach that evening.
"The whole theme was around the Make a Wish Foundation," said the Sherkston employee, who declined to be identified.
During that celebration, the revelers released lighted helium balloons into the air above the popular resort.
"That was part of the whole wish. They lit them and they went up," the woman said.
But when campers at the park saw the spectacle that evening, someone called 9-1-1 to report a UFO, she added.
"They just assumed - I don't know what they assumed," she said.
Port Colborne Fire Prevention Officer Mike Bendia said there were several calls to 9-1-1 that night, reporting something unusual over Lake Erie.
While some callers might have reported seeing UFOs, he said the call firefighters responded to was a little more realistic.
