Alien Investigator Sheds Light On Worcester Ufo Sighting
A UFO expert may have solved the mystery of the floating object filmed in the skies of Worcester - and it was not an alien spaceship.
Dave Hodrien, chairman of the Birmingham UFO group and investigator into all things extra-terrestrial, has analysed the video (view here) and believes it shows a solar airship or other inflatable.
Ronkswood, Worcester, is not the new Roswell, New Mexico, after all.
Mr Hodrien said: "Unfortunately due to the distance and low quality of the video it is hard to say exactly what the object being recorded is.
"It is clear that this is a real video and not hoaxed using CGI.
"From what can be seen on the footage, the object is probably cylindrical in shape. It is not a helicopter and is very unlikely to be a military drone.
"Due to the slight drift noticeable, the most likely explanation is that the object is either a solar airship or other inflatable drifting in the wind. It may even be tethered to the ground but due to the distance the tether is not visible.
"Solar airships are large, thin, plastic inflatables that are usually cylindrical and black. Sometimes they can drift up into the sky and look quite dramatic at a distance. However they are usually launched on hot sunny days, whereas the weather in the video footage looks quite cloudy.
"The other smaller object also reported by the witness is not visible on the footage but the suggestion of a swooping bird is probably correct."
The film was taken by Luke Gregg in Ronkswood on Sunday, March 15, looking towards Worcester Woods.
He said: "I'm very much a sceptic when it comes to these things so by no means did I think that it was an alien spaceship or something equally paranormal.
"I just wanted to find out what it was really."

UFO SIGHTED OVER THE AVEBURY STONES WILTSHIRE - I began by telling the audience how Dawn and I had struggled to get the Haunted Skies books published and of the trials and tribulations we had faced over the years since we had started in 1995.My talk included a reference to John Andrews a special Constable from the Warwickshire Police who was returning from a business trip late one evening when he saw a strange object descend over the stones at Avebury and appear to land.
He decided not to stop and continued on his journey. As he neared Moreton-in -the- Marsh he became aware that he was being followed by another vehicle. After stopping at the traffic lights in the village he was approached by a man with an American accent who got out of a left hand vehicle which was showing a flashing green light on the top parked behind him. The man who was dressed as security officer wearing a white shirt and black tie asked John if he had seen anything strange. John told him about the incident he had witnessed in Avebury and was then threatened to keep quite after John admitted he had seen the UFO.

I decided against running the tape interview because of the attitude of one young man I had discussed the case with initially. I felt I could not trust him to keep what I had told him as confidential in nature, and didn't want him listening to the interview.
Fortunately, on this occasion, I managed to show (albeit at speed) at least 50images on the PowerPoint to the audience, in contrast to the Newcastle Conference, when I showed only two images out of a one hundred. After the talk and the winding up of the day's events, when Dawn and I were surprised to be given one of the CFZ Golden Monkey awards, with accompanying certificate, we made our way to the "Farmers Arms" Public House, where we sat down and discussed the weekend events with Brenda and Mick, who had also made the journey there.
We then made our way back to the caravan where Dawn prepared a delicious meal, followed by an equally as delicious Aunt Bessie Lemon Meringue pie (purchased by myself) It was found most palatable except for the fact that the pastry crust seemed very soft. An examination of the said instructions revealed (after we had eaten it) that it should have been cooked! We then retired to bed after spending a short time gazing up into a beautiful night sky, with the Milky Way clearly defined, feeling more than satisfied with how the weekend had gone - especially after Kevin had been promised, by Jon, that "UFO over Warminster" and other books were going to be republished.
On the Monday morning we packed up and sat having a cup of coffee whilethe tranquillity of every day 'camping life' began with a game of cricket and the squeals of children excited to be on holiday, A lady from a nearby camper van came over and asked us cordially how the holiday was going when we told her the reason for the visit she remarked how weird we were!
So another CFZ Weird Weekend has come and gone. This was our second visit and we certainly enjoyed it - Long may it live as a family affair, because this is what makes it so enjoyable. Well done to Jon Downes, and his family, for putting it all together, and thank you Kevin for what we now perceive to be the start of a warm friendship.

The sighting, at Tern Hill barracks near Market Drayton, Shrops, came two hours before helicopter police officers reported an encounter with a huge craft 80 miles away near Cardiff.
And three hours before a couple claimed they were followed by a strange light in the sky along the A5 near Shrewsbury.
Yesterday further mind-boggling evidence emerged as dog walker Bonnie Lewis, 29, told how she filmed seven UFOs at Bromsgrove, Worcs, last Friday.
Cpl Proctor, 38, of the 1st Battalion Irish Regiment, recalled how he saw the amazing "craft" just after 11pm on Saturday, June 7.
He said: "I was on duty in the guard room when the other boys outside began shouting. I went out to see what the commotion was about and could see thirteen craft in the skies.
"They were zig-zagging, but I filmed two before they disappeared. They were like rotating cubes with multiple colours.
"I made a full report to my commanding officers and gave them my footage. The other lads were as amazed by it as I was."
A 19-year-old private on patrol said he also saw the "fleet".
The soldier, who asked not to be named, said: "I saw these things flying in the sky and I told my guard commander.
"There were about 30 lights passing over for a few minutes, very high but not at a great speed. They were bright red. Another soldier saw them too."
An MoD spokesman said: "We deal with any UFO sightings to see if there was a military threat."

I saw these up close on 09/22/2012. In actuality they are red, orange, white, and black. Each color is a different stage. Each light or cluster is really a set of 4 or 6 objects.
They appeared to refuel off one another. I saw these at very close range, say within a thousand or thousands of miles. They are enormous. The red and orange are the varying shades of lighter and darker reds and oranges and are translucent vats of what must be fuel.
They pair up in sets of two and are recharging or neutralizing the other. The white is the hydraulics, the white is not translucent, there were shadows from the other hydraulics which give the white different shades.
The black is the closing of the panels/doors, or whatever.
These move and go through their stages rapidly. When I first saw them I thought they were missiles or jets about 5 miles away on Columbus Ohio's north side.
I realized afterward they must've been over the Dakotas or further. I heard a military helicopter pass overhead and turned to look, when I looked back over I was like, "Where did they go?" I then looked up and one was directly over my car. I could see the red panels open like 'ants on a TV screen' only in red.

Soon enough, an agent from the F.B.I. field office in Norfolk, Va., visited me -- not at my home but at my employer's office.
During the ensuing interview, I proceeded to justify my existence by explaining my interest in UFO research aimed to support the work of such public-interest groups as the now-defunct, Washington, D.C.-based National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena. For his part, the agent explained that he was going to compose a memorandum for the F.B.I. files.
Some weeks later, I sent a letter to F.B.I. director J. Edgar Hoover, asking that he send me a copy of that memo. In his reply letter, he declined, saying that all F.B.I. files are deemed "confidential."
