As Dick came to a greater understanding about the potential cultural impact of extraterrestrial intelligence, he invited other scholars to present their findings along with him. Dick chaired a two-day NASA/Library of Congress Astrobiology Symposium called "Preparing for Discovery," which was intended to address the impact of finding any kind of life beyond Earth, whether microbial or some kind of intelligent, multicellular life form.

"There is also the question of what I call astro-ethics," Dick said. "How do you treat alien life? How do you treat it differently, ranging from microbes to intelligence? So we had a philosopher at our symposium talking about the moral status of non-human organisms, talking in relation to animals on Earth and what their status is in relation to us."
Dick plans to collect the lectures in a book for publication next year, but he also spent his time at the library gathering materials for a second book about how discovering life beyond Earth will revolutionize our thinking.
"It's very farsighted for NASA to fund a position like this," Dick added. "They have all their programs in astrobiology, they fund the scientists, but here they fund somebody to think about what the implications might be. It's a good idea to do this, to foresee what might happen before it occurs."

I'm sure you hear a lot of wild stories, but mine is ongoing, and has been for several years. I have both security footage, and pictures of several types of "aliens", although I'm hesitant to call them aliens, since I have witnessed them control everything from birds, animals, trees, the weather, and any light, anywhere, at anytime. These videos and pictures go back to around 2011. Although I have seen numerous UFO's, this is not really about them, this is more about the beings that use them. If this were just about the aliens, I would not be notifying you. As I said earlier, this is an ongoing presence in my life. They are not visiting here, they live here! Since I am not in a UFO hotspot, this makes no sense. You can speak with anyone who knows me, and they will tell you about some of the antics that I have witnessed. I can show you lights you can't explain, stars that will move on command, and some of the strangest things you have ever witnessed. Mythical beings are common here, strange as that may sound. I have not reported this earlier, because I didn't want my life disrupted, but the things that they have made me aware of now, I know I have to share, because, even though I took the pictures, I'm having trouble believing what I am seeing. This coming from someone who has been aware of an alien presence for almost 10 years. I have over 100 acres that is strategically perfect. I am able to see almost 100 miles from my location, but unless you are on my land you cannot see on my land, since it is all higher than the road. I could fill this page and several others with things that I have witnessed, and been apart of over the last several years. Since I am going to have to share these experiences, I am now planning on writing a book to share, not only what I have recently been made aware of, but some of the most interesting things that have happened, over the last few years. I would certainly like to talk to someone about this, and you can see some things that will make you scratch your head, and say damn, that's unreal! I will be glad to share the evidence I have, but not for all to see.

Here's an interesting bit of trivia. Today, July 8th, was the very day 66 years ago that the legendary UFO crash supposedly took place in Roswell, New Mexico.
I don't know if it's a cosmic coincidence or another incredible bit of providence on my part, but I've just been contacted by a man who claims to have some actual debris from "another" UFO that crashed somewhere here in Texas over a hundred years ago! He contacted me after he learned about the Museum of the Weird from the Minnesota Iceman article in The Huffington Post last week.
I'm thinking perhaps this guy is either trying to take me for a sucker or he's just plain nuts, but I'm definitely going to follow up on this either way... you never know!
Speaking of the Huffington Post, here is their report on the Roswell anniversary:
Exactly 66 years ago today, the Roswell Daily Record shocked the American public with its headline, "RAAF Captures Flying Saucer On Ranch In Roswell Region." Decades later, there are still conspiracy theories and questions surrounding the legendary Roswell UFO incident in New Mexico.
According to the July 8, 1947 edition of the local paper, a rancher told authorities at the Roswell Army Air Field that he'd discovered a crashed flying saucer on his property. Army Maj. Jesse Marcel, an intelligence officer, reportedly recovered the "disc" and flew it to headquarters. It was never seen again, and the air field issued a press release later stating that the saucer was actually a weather balloon.

MY OWN UFO STORY
I and a friend of mine saw a underwater UFO just off the end of Folly Beach Island South Carolina while fishing there one night. And no I'm not making this up. As we set there fishing we noticed colored lights under the water out in a secluded area of Charleston Harbor near the old Morris Island Lighthouse.
We watched the lights move around a bit under the water and then as we set there and watched the craft rose up out of the water out from us and we clearly heard the water run off the craft as the craft came up out of the water. The craft at one time was about 300 foot above us and it set there for a minute or so before it flew off to the right and out to sea. It moved faster than anything we have as far as aircraft here on earth.
Fifteen minutes or so it returned followed by another craft and both of the craft went down into the harbor and under the water. We saw their multi colored lights for a few more minutes and then they were gone. It was truly one of the most amazing things that I have ever seen in my life. After that I knew for a fact that UFO's are real. There is no way that it was any type of craft or airplane from this earth. No way at all. And I truly did see it.
