I joined p4c some time ago because of a sincere desire to learn what I
could about what was known about extraterrestrials. Other than to receive your

And my original reason for joining, getting genuine first hand

than to ask clarifying questions are allowed. In other words, where submissions are limited to
genuine testimonies and questions/clarifications about that, period. The only other submissions
allowed would be from those with some baseline expert status engaged in comparative studies of

In response to my initial post on this thread, James Carlson has questioned the truthfulness of my former/retired U.S. Air Force sources, including former Captain Bob Salas, regarding their knowledge of UFO-involvement in large-scale nuclear missile malfunctions, at various Strategic Air Command bases during the Cold War era. Below I have inserted what will be the first in a series of responses to Carlson's wild and inaccurate charges.
But first, in his first post on this thread, an indignant Carlson, writes:
"[Former Minuteman missile launch officer Bob] Salas' account states that my father [Captain Eric Carlson] and First Lieutenant Walt Figel, the Echo-Flight Missile Combat Crew, were below ground in the E-Flight Launch Control Center (LCC) or capsule during the incident, and that during the early morning hours, more than one report came in from security patrols and maintenance crews that UFOs were in the area. A UFO was supposedly reported directly above one of the E-Flight launch facilities. These sightings supposedly occurred at the same time the missiles went into "off-alert" status. In other words, the UFOs were supposedly the cause of the entire flight of ten ICBMs going offline. All of their missiles reported a "No-Go" condition - i.e., they became inoperable, apparently due to a Guidance and Control (G">
Now, Robert Hastings responds:
Below are pertinent excerpts from my taped telephone conversation on 10/20/08 with Col. Walter Figel (USAF Ret.). Figel was Eric Carlson's deputy missile commander at Echo Flight on March 16, 1967:
WF: [At the time of the Echo Flight shutdown] what was unusual was that several of the missiles were open...for some routine maintenance. I don't remember why. But, uh, at least two of them were running on diesel power so they were not connected to the power grid. I don't remember if it was three open or four open [but] it was just routine maintenance. Nothing had happened [to the missiles]. It was just the time of the year for routine maintenance. Um, and the day before, there were maintenance teams out there. They had stayed overnight-
RH: Do you know how many maintenance teams were out overnight?
WF: You know, I think it was four. It was the two sites that had diesels running and two others. And when maintenance stays overnight they...stay in a camper...When you have maintenance on the site and they're going to stay overnight, you have a security team on the site.
RH: Right.
(Break. Figel goes into detail about security procedures.)
WF: [When] the missiles dropped off alert, I started calling the maintenance people out there on the radio to talk to them. I had the security guard authenticate so I know I'm talking to a security guard and, you know, [I asked] "What's going on? Is maintenance trying to get into the silo?" [The guard said,] "No, they're still in the camper." [So, I said,] "Get 'em up, I want to talk to them." Then I tried to tell them what I had was a Channel 9 No-Go.
RH: Uh huh.
WF: Uh, we did that with the sites that were there, that [had maintenance teams and their guards on site] and I sent Strike Teams to two other sites. There's no sense sending them where I [already] have a guard and a gun and an authenticate.
RH: Right.
WF: Uh-
RH: So far in this narrative, you haven't mentioned UFOs.
WF: [Laughs] That's correct. Um, somewhere along the way, um, one of the maintenance people-cause he didn't know what was going on any place else either, they have no capability of talking to each other [at different launch sites], in other words, they can talk to the [launch] capsule but they can't talk to each other-
RH: Right
WF: -unless they were on the radio and no one was using the radio except the security police. And the guy says, "We got a Channel 9 No-Go. It must be a UFO hovering over the site. I think I see one here." [I said,] "Yeah, right, whatever. What were you drinking?" And he tried to convince me of something and I said, well, I basically, you know, didn't believe him. [Laughs] I said, you know, we have to get somebody to look at this [No-Go]. [A short time later] one of the Strike Teams that went out, one of the two, claimed that they saw something over the site.
RH: How did they describe that?
WF: Oh, on radio, [they said,] "There's this large object hovering over the site!" I've always been a non-believer [in UFOs] so I said, "Right, sure you do." [They responded,] "Yeah! Yeah, we do!" So, [I said,] "There's two of you there, saying so, so write it down in your report." [The Strike Team leader] said, "What do you want us to do?" [I said,] "Follow your checklist. Go to the site, open it up, and call me."
RH: What was the demeanor of the guard you were talking to?
WF: Um, you know, I wouldn't say panicked, or anything [like that]. I was thinking he was yanking my chain more than anything else.
RH: But he seemed to be serious to you?
WF: He seemed to be serious and I wasn't taking him seriously.
RH: Alright. If it was a large object, did he describe the shape of the object?
WF: He just said a large round object.
RH: Directly over the LF?
WF: Directly over the site.
(BREAK. Figel describes hearing from the maintenance man about his opening up the silo, going down into it, and reporting that even though the missile was offline, nothing was visually damaged or otherwise amiss at the site.)
RH: Did he describe the object leaving the scene?
WF: No. He never said anything about it again.
(BREAK. Figel describes telling all the maintenance teams to stay at their sites until relieved, and not to attempt repairs until told to do so, since the missile silos were in effect "crime scenes".)
RH: When you got the first call, well, when the missiles went down, you didn't have an inkling of an alleged UFO-involvement until you got the report back from the first Strike Team member?
WF: That's correct. (RH: Actually, the missile maintenance man mentioned seeing the UFO first.)
RH: Okay, uh, and only one of the two teams reported seeing an object?
WF: Right.
RH: Uh, did you discuss the report with Mr. Carlson-that you were being told that there was a UFO at one of the sites?
WF: Um, he could hear it, uh, I mean he was sitting right there, two feet away from me-
RH: So-
WF: Whatever I said, he would have heard.
(Break. Figel describes going back to Malmstrom with Carlson and being debriefed by "everybody and his brother.")
RH: Did any of the conversations back at squadron headquarters, uh, was there any mention of UFOs?
WF: I told them everything everyone told me. No one made any comments or inquiries-
RH: So you did mention the report that you got from the Strike Team?
WF: Yes.
RH: And no one asked any questions about UFOs per se?
WF: No.
RH: Did they act skeptically or negatively when you mentioned [the Strike Team's UFO report]?
WF: They just wrote things down.
RH: [Laughs] That sounds right. Poker-faced and-
WF: [Laughs] Poker-faced and wrote things down. They just said, "Thank you very much. Don't talk about it." I didn't sign anything, I can tell you that.
(Break. Hastings describes similar testimony from other missileers who were debriefed at Malmstrom and other Strategic Air Command bases, following UFO-related incidents in the missile fields.)
WF: What did Eric [Carlson] have to say [about the shutdown incident]? (RH had interviewed Carlson two weeks earlier, on 10/6/08)
RH: Uh, he said that he couldn't recall any UFO-involvement in the incident. He couldn't remember if you had mentioned UFOs, one way or another. His son [James] has now [posted] on a blog, a web log, a couple of lengthy statements in which he defamed Salas, said Salas was a liar, [and said] there was nothing involving UFOs at Echo...
WF: Did Eric say anything else that was a discontinuity [relative to what I've said]?
RH:...Well, I [told Eric] that you had [heard from] a guard or a maintenance person that there was an object above the site, which you've confirmed today-
WF: Yes.
RH: -And I asked Eric if he remembered any of that, and he said that he did not. And, um, I asked him why his son would have written this scathing, very negative summary, which I will send [to] you, about the event-
WF: That will be interesting.
RH: -calling Salas a liar, and so on and so forth.
WF: Well, I didn't do that.
RH: Well, I know, but his son, you know, for whatever reason, his son, James Carlson, has got a bug up his nose and said that nothing happened, there were no reports of UFOs, which you told me is incorrect because you got one.
WF: I did!
RH: Well, according to James, it was all bull and Salas was basically pulling it out of the air. [Eric] Carlson just, he didn't really want to talk about it, frankly, but he did answer my questions. He just was kind of circumspect. I can't say that he's not being truthful when he says he doesn't remember talking to you about UFOs, but that's what he told me.
WF: I'm sure we had a long conversation. I mean, I reported everything to him that I heard or was told. I mean, we were together, you know? [Laughs]
RH: Well, it has been 40 years, so we have to take that into account. [That is, the possibility of faded memories.]

So, folks, James Carlson has it all wrong, according to his father's deputy missile commander that day at Echo Flight, now retired Col. Walter Figel. Actually, James, the presence of a UFO at one of Echo's missiles was indeed reported to Figel, by both a missile maintenance technician and a Security Alert Team (or Strike Team) member. It was described as a "large, round object", hovering directly over the launch facility. Moreover, Figel insists that your father was fully aware of the situation, given that he was sitting "two feet away" from Figel during his phone calls with the on-site maintenance man and the responding missile security policeman. As to why your father can not, or will not, confirm Figel's story, I won't speculate.
So, James, will you also now call Col. Figel a liar, just as you have called the other honorable Air Force veterans liars, simply because they have come forward and spoken the truth about UFO activity at ICBM sites? Finally, because your reckless and unfounded charges are so numerous, James, I will require a number of posts to correct them all. Stay tuned, I shall return in the near future with the facts. Date: Summer 2010Time: Twilight. I seen a UFO in Peterborough in the Summer of 2010 on my brothers balcony at metropolitan center. I looked up in the north sky at this star on a clear night. SIGHTING DETAILS
Early in the morning of 17th January 2010 Michael and his girlfriend were walking his brother home. It was clear, frosty and still night with a full view of the stars overhead. They were walking along Piggots Croft in Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham. There was nobody else around. Michael often likes to look up at the stars, so was looking up as they walked along. He suddenly noticed two glowing objects off to the right of him at around a 45 degree angle in the sky. They were initially side by side and were glowing orange-yellow in colour. They appeared star-like due to their high altitude, but appeared to be in the atmosphere.

The objects were moving extremely fast and were moving towards his location. As he watched they switched places, and changed from moving side by side to moving one after the other. They flew overhead and once more switched to being side by side again. As they started to move off into the distance they suddenly parted in a completely synchronised manoeuvre. One flew off to the left and the other off to the right. Within a short moment they had vanished into the distance. The whole sighting was so fast that by the time Michael informed his girlfriend and brother about the objects they were gone.
Michael was in awe of what he had just witnessed. The objects had been moving much too rapidly to have been man-made objects such as high altitude aircraft or Chinese lanterns. Later on he calculated the speed that they must have been moving at based on the estimated height and distance they travelled. If the objects were about 1 km up then they were moving at approximately 1620 km per hour. If they were 4 km high then they must have been moving at around 6600 km per hour. They could have potentially been even higher than this, it was hard to tell. However it was clear that they were quite distant rather than small objects at quite a low altitude.
Soon after the sighting he got in touch with the local police force to ask if anyone else had reported the lights. The police stated that they had not had any other sightings reported. They also contacted Birmingham International airport to see if anything had been picked up on radar. But Michael was at least informed that nothing had been detected. Michael says that the direction the objects moved away in meant that they would have flown directly over the airport, so either they genuinely weren't picked up, or were but this fact was covered up.

SIGHTING ANALYSIS
This sighting is truly fascinating and after speaking with the witness I feel quite sure that this was a genuine sighting of two advanced craft moving at an incredible speed. Often sightings of orange glowing lights after dark turn out to be nothing more than Chinese lanterns. Indeed it is even possible for lanterns to move positions in the sky and seem to follow one another as they drift on air currents. However I do not believe that this adequately explains what was seen in this case. The objects approached, passed overhead and vanished into the distance within the space of 6 seconds. It is inconceivable that lanterns would move at such a speed. Even when at relatively low altitude, where the structure and flickering flames are visible, they would still not be able to disappear in this short space of time. The objects that Michael witnessed were just glowing points of light and were clearly at high altitude. Also it was a very still night with no wind detectable, at least at ground level.
The other very important aspect of this sighting is the manoeuvres that the objects were seen to perform. They certainly appeared to be aware of each other and switching formations. As previously mentioned it is possible for drifting objects to appear to possess intelligence. However drifting objects such as lanterns always follow generally the same path across the sky. They can be buffeted around and shift positions, but it is extremely unlikely that they would suddenly at the same moment head off in two opposite directions. This particular manoeuvre certainly appears to have been performed for a particular purpose, indicating that the objects were under control.
Just as I have discovered with other cases I have previously investigated, not all glowing orbs seen after dark can be put down to Chinese lanterns or LED balloons, sometimes the facts point towards a much more unusual explanation.

Did anyone see the Sirius documentary and can confirm that the body was reported as human?
Even if this was human, they are saying that this being lived for 6-8 years after birth. First time I have heard of a 6 inch human. Shortest humans ever recorded are about 20 inches tall.

It was hailed as proof of alien life, a mummified visitor from another planet.
Ten years after the remains of a six-inch 'space alien' were first discovered, they have been confirmed as 'human' by Stanford scientists in a new documentary film Sirius.
Since the remains of the small humanoid - known as the 'Atacama Humanoid' and nicknamed Ata - were discovered in Chile's Atacama Desert 10 years ago there has been much speculation about its origins.
Theories have included that the bones were those of an aborted fetus, or a monkey, or even an alien that had crash-landed on earth.

Dr Steven Greer, who led the project and documentary, has hit back at critics who claim the body is a hoax.
'The CAT scan clearly shows internal chest organs -lungs and what appears to be the remains of a heart structure,' he said.
'There is absolutely no doubt that the specimen is an actual organism and that it is not a hoax of any kind.
'This fact has been confirmed by Dr. Nolan and Dr. Lachman at Stanford.'
In the weeks leading up to Monday's premier of Sirius, UFO enthusiasts had grown increasingly excited that the film could announce a major breakthrough in the search for extra-terrestrial life forms.
Experts say the small skeleton certainly bears many of the hallmarks of what we have come to believe aliens look like, in particular a large head overshadowing a small body.
According to Chilean local newspaper, a man called Oscar Munoz found the remain on Oct. 19, 2003 when he was looking for objects of historical value in La Noria, a ghost town in the Atacama Desert.
Near an abandoned church, Munoz found a white cloth containing, according to the newspaper, 'a strange skeleton no bigger than 15cm [the size of a pen].
It was a creature with hard teeth, a bulging head with an additional odd bulge on top.
Its body was scaly and of dark color. Unlike humans, it had nine ribs.

Since the famous crash in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947, UFO's have been spotted in all parts of the country. Eyewitnesses report seeing disc like craft or cigar shaped objects. The real UFO buzz in the Magnolia State began almost 30-years ago when a pair of fisherman from the Gulf Coast became world-famous overnight.
"There won't be a doubt in anybody's mind that there's other worlds out there...there's life."
Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker were fishing on the Pascagoula River in October of 1973. The men say they were overpowered by creatures from an alien ship. Calvin Parker had remained fairly silent about his experience, until 1993.
"
"I couldn't move anything, my muscles were paralyzed. So, the other being left and went over to a friend I was fishing with. It injected something into him and that was the last I seen of him until I left the craft."
Hickson remembers experiments being conducted on him. "I could tell they had left me. Looking in the wall in front of me, it came out of that light in that wall, moved up in front of me about this far. It was probably this big...and round. It appeared to me like a big eye."
Many UFO researchers say Hickson and Parker's story, is the most believable tale of alien abduction. Hickson and Parker's ordeal was just one chapter for UFP phenomena during the early seventies. There were reports of sightings in Madison County, the Delta and Northeast Mississippi. If people everywhere were seeing these UFO's, is there any proof? Ufologists like Tony Scarbourgh say "yes."
"The Air Force and the Air Force's of other nation's have miles, without exaggerating, of gun camera film. There are plenty of photograph's, video footage and so on."
He says the military is suppressing much of this information. That's why eyewitness accounts are the only sources of information.
"I know I wasn't crazy, I know I wasn't dreaming, and I know I wasn't drunk, because I don't drink."
Flora Police Chief Hubert Roberts had a strange encounter in 1974. A stranded motorist flagged him down and told him a disc like craft hovered over his car and drained it's power.
Roberts and the Naval man went to investigate, and found the craft in a field. He said it hovered silently and he smelled no fumes from jet fuel.
"A few seconds it just moved up about tree top, and then...shooo!"
The next day, Roberts went back out to the sight and saw burn marks on the grass. It was about two weeks later, several law enforcement officers saw the same object hovering in a field in rural Madison County.
Madison County wasn't the only place where police reported strange craft.Columbus police officers Billy Nolan and Pat Robertson reported seeing something strange in the Fall of 1973.
"Didn't make a sound, didn't hear a sound. That's what puzzled me about the whole thing, the way it shot up in the air it went like a falling star it just went straight up...shoo!"
"Everytime a plane would come a certain distance from that object, that object's lights would go out. When a plane turned to go back to the base, it would go back on."
NEWSCHANNEL 12 contacted the Air Force for an interview, but they refused to comment on UFO sightings during the 1970's saying, "Due to the fact that the Air Force is not in the business of investigating UFO claims, it would be inappropriate to go on camera."
What was this object police were seeing? We'll continue to investigate as we go in search of the "Unexplained."

Q. Your book supports my long-held theory that people reporting UFOs are usually seeing military aircraft being tested.
A. Absolutely, [except] in the very small number of cases that are misperceptions of stars and conventional aircraft and that sort of thing.
Q. BUT THE THRUST OF YOUR BOOK IS THAT THE US GOVERNMENT, RATHER THAN COVERING UP UFO CRASHES, HAS ACTUALLY BEEN PROMOTING UFO CONSPIRACIES - FOR 60 YEARS. WHY?
A. The reasons changed at different times. The number-one [reason] is covering up flights of experimental or otherwise secret aircraft, and this goes back at least as far as the U-2 [spy plane]. It's now quite well known that Project Blue Book, the first public face of UFO investigations - they were actually tracing the visibility of the U-2 as it flew over America. This was so they'd know how visible it would be as it flew over the Soviet Union.
Q. BUT THEN THERE'S ALL THIS EVIDENCE IN YOUR BOOK THAT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ACTUALLY STAGED A UFO INVASION IN WASHINGTON, D.C., IN 1952. WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT?
A. I don't know. I can speculate. It could have just been a demonstration to show people what this [supposedly alien] technology was capable of. I can't say exactly why they might have done it. But it was a really critical point of ratcheting up tensions in the Cold War. It could have been a test to see how pilots and radar operators would respond to an invasion.
Q. YOU YOURSELF SAW TWO VERY DIFFERENT UFOS IN FLIGHT.
A. I open and close the book with my own sightings. The second one is easy. There was no question that was some sort of military aircraft. The first one is a genuine puzzle. I still don't know what it was.
Q. WHAT WAS THE CRAZIEST THING THAT HAPPENED DURING THE REPORTING OF THIS BOOK?
A. Spending a week at the Laughlin [Nev.] UFO Conference was really interesting. It was very intense. You start losing your moorings after several days embedded among belief in UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors.
Q. IN A WAY, THE BOOK CHRONICLES YOUR OWN JOURNEY. YOU START OUT AS A SKEPTIC WHO CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO BELIEVE ALIENS HAVE VISITED EARTH. THEN YOU GATHER ALL THIS EVIDENCE THAT SUPPORTS THAT OPINION. YET BY THE END I SENSE THAT YOU AREN'T SO SURE ANYMORE.
A. When I was in my late teens and early 20s, I was probably closer to being a believer. I was a skeptic, but I was more inclined that there was something going on. I would say now I maintain a true skeptical line and try to walk it as carefully as possible. Nobody can say that we've never been visited by extraterrestrials. You can't prove a negative.
Q. OK, SO, DO YOU BELIEVE ALIENS HAVE VISITED EARTH?
A. "I don't know' is the honest answer. What I will say is that there are still some very, very strange stories out there.

I've been posting much about UFO's and aliens as has been permeating the media the past few months and years. I decided that, though it is clear we are being visited by extraterrestrials and have been throughout history as denoted in ancient artifacts and centuries old artworks, murals and embroideries, I have to disclose something else. That is that NASA's Project Blue Beam has also been rearing its head in various forms such as through HAARP'S NORWAY SPIRAL in December 9, 2009 and other incidents. That's not good news.
The fact the main media has been hyping up UFO stories is a sign the government plans on exploiting the world's awakening as such in a power grab. It makes perfect sense that as people become shocked from their religious foundations to the knowledge of extraterrestrials and other real cultural shifts such discoveries bring about, the evil powers at be will attempt to manipulate it to their own advantage.
Project Blue Beam's allegedly been around since the 1980's. These are the alleged steps to be implemented of Project Blue Beam as stated on RATIONALWIKI:
STEP ONE

Apparently people will think this is their god, rather than the more natural twenty-first century assumption that it is a particularly opaque Coca Cola advertisement.
Evidence advanced for this was a supposed plan to project the face of Allah over Baghdad in 1991, to tell the Iraqis to overthrow Saddam Hussein. Of course, those primitive, ignorant non-Western savages wouldn't have had television or advertising, and would never guess it was being done with mirrors.
The light show can supposedly be seen in occasional tests, which manifest as unidentified flying objects.
This stage will be accomplished, apparently, with the aid of a Soviet computer that will be fed "with the minute physio-psychological particulars based on their studies of the anatomy and electro-mechanical composition of the human body, and the studies of the electrical, chemical and biological properties of the human brain." The computers are also capable of inducing suicidal thoughts. The Soviets are (not "were") the "New World Order" people. Why NASA would use a Soviet computer when the USSR had to import or copy its computer technology from the West is not detailed.
STEP THREE
Step Three involves making people think their god is speaking to them through telepathy, [note: the government already has a telepathic device to wire into troops brains to give them commands] projected into the head of each person individually using low-frequency radio waves. The atheists will presumably hear an absence of Richard Dawkins.
STEP FOUR
Step Four has three parts:
* Making humanity think an alien invasion is about to occur at every major city;
* Making the Christians think the Rapture is about to happen;
* A mixture of electronic and supernatural forces, allowing the supernatural forces to travel through fiber optics, coax, power and telephone lines to penetrate all electronic equipment and appliances, that will by then all have a special microchip installed.
Then chaos will break out, and people will finally be willing - perhaps even desperate - to accept the New World Order.
A device has apparently already been perfected that will lift enormous numbers of people, as in a Rapture. UFO abductions are tests of this device.
Project Blue Beam theorists believe psychological preparations have already been made, Monast having claimed that "2001: A Space Odyssey, Star Wars" and the "Star Trek" series all involve an invasion from space and all nations coming together (they don't) and that "Jurassic Park" propagandizes evolution in order to make people think God's words are lies.
Though this guy Bill Cooper doesn't believe in extraterrestrials and real UFO's he has some important information to offer about how the government plans on manipulating people with technology and to stage an alien invasion to promote their New World Order (world government) agenda.
I'm prepared to witness a lot of staged man made UFO events and the hype of something big happening. In summary, extremely evil people who want to form a world government want to induce the masses to believe the Second Coming of Christ is at hand and will attempt to fulfill prophecy to introduce an anti-Christ. I will immediately recognize such staged events as Project Blue Beam and hope other educated people will do the same. I do not doubt there is other life in the universe and we are being visited, but I also know there are extremely dark evil forces in our world that will want to manipulate some people being shaken from their religious foundation beliefs.
