Time: Approximately: 10:00 p.m.
Hi Brian, we were pulling into our driveway in Benicia on Sunday evening, 2/15/15 around 10:00 p.m. and I saw this bright red balloon looking object in the sky. I commented to my husband - what is that?
He didn't see it, so I said to get out of the car and I showed it to him. We stood there and watched it trying to figure out what we were seeing.
First, he jokingly said it was an alien spaceship. As we continued to watch it, the amount of red glowing light that surrounded the object would change size and color, it was weird.
The light was not blinking and we heard no sound like an airplane or helicopter. It appeared to be traveling towards us, but not in an exactly straight line and while my husband was trying to convince me that it was a helicopter, it just went totally dark.
We watched for a while to see if we would see it again, but we did not. Told our friends about it the next evening and they did a internet search and found this site so, I am sharing this incident with you. It was strange. I have never seen anything like it.

"Researching some classic UFO case files, I ran across this at OpenMinds.tv and found it very interesting."

Of all the strange cases in Ufology, this well documented multiple witness account must rank as one of the most unusual. On November 2nd of 1967, two young men were driving south on highway 26 just outside of Ririe Idaho. Suddenly, there was a brilliant flash of light outside the vehicle. Immediately, a small saucer shaped craft was visible which had a transparent domed top. Two small strange looking occupants were visible in the craft. Soon thereafter, the car came to a stop on its own. The object hovered approximately five feet above the road, directly in front of the car. The craft was described as being eight feet wide, and three feet high. Green and orange lights were visible around the outer rim. An unusual yellow flickering light was visible on the bottom surface of the craft. Next, the dome of the UFO opened up, and one of the beings was seen to float to the ground.

The being was 3-1/2 feet tall, and had a small pack which extruded behind its head. Its face was oval and heavily pitted. It had two small eyes, and a straight slit-like mouth. The being exhibited no hair and had large ears. Next, the being approached the driver's side of the vehicle, opened the door, and slid behind the wheel. Terrified, the two men instantly moved over to the passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle was then moved (by either the strange new driver, or the UFO), to a nearby field. No details were provided in the report if the strange being had difficulty reaching the foot pedals of the car, or if it could properly hold the steering wheel. When the car finally stopped, the passenger sitting on the far right side of the vehicle quickly left the car and ran to a nearby farm house. "The first UFO sighting I had was in the winter of 1968-69. I was living with my parents in Burnaby B.C. Dad came up from the basement asking Mom and I if we wanted to see a flying saucer. We went to the dining rooom window and saw a red or orange circular object, its approximate position was over the southeast corner of Burnaby Mountain. We watched it for 10 minutes from 7:55 to 8:05 p.m. We didn't see any markings of any kind on the surface as it was entirely smooth. Regrettably we went back to watching Rowan and Martins Laugh-In". At 8:30 I went back to spot the object only to find it had gone. 30 years later I contacted UFOBC about this incident but they didn't have any records of UFO sightings going back that far. Ron

THE SECOND VISIT
Location/Date: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada - January 2001 - daytime

When asked for ID's they displayed "silver" cases that contained a photo, an unusual symbol, plus their names in small print.
Upon entering the kitchen they asked the witness to please unplug the microwave, they also told him to turn the computer off. The two Persian cats were going crazy dashing around the room and trying to get out of the window, which was closed. Each man carried a briefcase with an inverted L shaped handle. The man that did all the talking asked to see the witness' unusual watch. He then removed from his briefcase four small containers, each had a different colored top. Opening two, he proceeded to pour the contents over the watch. He told the concerned witness that no harm would come to the watch. He was given 250 for the watch and told that they would give him the rest later. He told them that he was moving soon, to this they replied "We know...don't worry, we can find you if we want to."
They soon departed without the common courtesies, staring blankly at the witness as he extended his hand. Once again the witness hurried to the bedroom window only to find, as before, no sign of either man departing, nor could any vehicle be heard leaving. After the visit the witness felt drained, had a severe headache that lasted for two days and a rash on his arms, face and chest.

Date: August 26, 2006 Time: 10:00 p.m.
Another strange object flying east, right at this moment, 22;15 disappearing over Burke Mountain. I had my camera aimed over Grouse and Seymour just to see if I could pick up any thing unusual. Night vision on and set at wide angle.
22:00 approximately noticed white strobe just over Burnaby Mountain appeared to be stationary and I knew there are no towers with white strobes over there. I glanced over there but could not see the strobe with the naked eye. Checked with binoculars and could just make it out, zoomed in with camera and found it to be two white lights which appeared similar in spacing to car headlights, I said strobing but it was more like pulsing and not as bright as a strobe, more like headlights being turned on and off. One thing unusual was the lights did not smear like you get at night with moving aircraft. Also found the lights to be moving very slowly east, much to slow to be an aircraft, could have been a chopper but did look like one. Estimated speed about 5 to 10 miles an hour.
At it's closest point to me which would be beside Heritage Mountain in Port Moody I could see a light colored body behind the lights but not make out any definite shape, when the light dimmed I could still see a dim glow from them. I checked with my big binoculars but could only see the lights and only when at their brightest. Object last seen over Burke Mountain in Coquitlam still headed east. When first seen it was just over Burnaby Mountain at approximately 1500 feet and must have been slowly climbing as it appeared to go over Burke Mountain and not around it. So probably up to 5000 feet when last seen.

Not sure if I sent you the following. When I was doing time lapse video over on Old Yale in N. Surrey. I caught the following object between Burnaby mountain and Seymour mountain, the time was about 6:00 a.m. during summer daylight, clear blue sky and well lit.
I was shooting 2 seconds every 30 seconds or so, object was only there for about 30 frames. I copied it to VHS and promptly lost the tape, but recall it as having one black ball connected by a shaft to a white ball, the black ball had 3 apparent disks sticking out like Mickey Mouse ears with room for a fourth.
I exaggerated the length of the connecting shaft, cut it in half. Those reports you posted recently reminded me, wish I could find the video always meant to send you DVD copy, but most of my equipment broken now so even if I find things I can't play it.

I live on Burnaby Mountain and noticed a large, well lit flying wedged shaped object flying very low over my house without any noise. It was flying at a fast and consistant pace, heading towards the North East. It startled me as I caught a glimpse of it from my bedroom window, as it's unsual to have jets fly that low over my house and usually there is the accompanying sound. There were many lights outlining the wedge shape. They seemed to be about the same brightness although some appeared to be reddish while others blue. It is hard to describe something that is so unusual, as I don't have any frame of reference for it. It definitely appeared to be travelling similar to aircraft, as it travelled in a consistent and fluid manner towards the northeast and out of sight within a minute or so. I was listening to the radio at the time and heard the announcement that some space debris had been reported flying over the lower mainland. While listening to the Art Bell show on Sat. Nov! 22, it was requested that anyone who had a close view of the object send in a report. I hope that this report will be helpful. I am curious as to why the media reports stated that the debris fell into the pacific ocean, as the object was heading away from the ocean?

JANUARY 24, 2013 - AUSTRALIA - Below are a selection of first-hand accounts from people who have witnessed strange lights in the skies over Bundaberg city and surrounding region. All but two are recent. Since this article was first published, another resident has come forward to recount their tale of a UFO. A reader said it was about 9.30pm on Christmas night last year when she saw something in the sky at Innes Park. "I was looking toward the west when this orange bright light was coming from near the horizon across the sky eastbound," the witness said. "It was too bright to be a high plane, and to me it looked like a helicopter flying low - except there was no sound. I thought it was really weird and called my husband and we had family and friends staying and they all came out."

She said that during that time, another light came from the same area, and then a third. "By then the first was halfway across the sky and came to a complete stop and just sat there for a while (eventually fading out) the second and third ones slowed right down and eventually came to the same point where the first had faded out," she said. "Eventually all three disappeared. "It was a real orange colour, almost the same colour and brightness as orange street lights I could see in the distance at Innes Park (except for the fact that these were in the centre of the sky)." She said it as they tried to take a closer look, the objects went further away. "My husband was trying to view it through the binoculars and said that they just got further and further away, but he couldn't identify what it was," she said.
She said at the time of the sighting, everyone was too entranced to stop and think to film it. "We were all too mesmerised to even think of filming it - bummed about that now," she said. "The ones that were on the Sunrise program a few weeks ago up at Cardwell are about the closest I can describe." The witness said she had tried to figure out an explanation for the lights in the sky. "People have suggested drones.... but as I gather the Queensland Government fishing vessel drones have white lights," she said. "Maybe Chinese lanterns.... except we are right near the sea, so the wind rarely travels from west to east. And, I'm still not convinced that Chinese lanterns would all slow right down at the same point, and then suspend for a period of time before fading out." The witness said she had wondered if the intense colouring of the objects had been a reflection of the moon, which was a bright shade of orange that night. "The whole thing lasted about 3-5 minutes, it's hard to say because you're just so fascinated at the time, and desperate for other people to be witnessing the same thing to corroborate," she said. "If it weren't for my family and friends all seeing it, I'd be second guessing myself even today. The local said she wanted to know if other people in the area had seen the same thing, and urged them to come forward to share their experience.

ON DECEMBER 14, Jason was out the back of his house in Thabeban talking to his cousin on the phone. "It was a very clear night and I could see all the stars out, I was looking out in the north east of the sky when I noticed (I had been looking that way for a few minutes) a bright light appear about half way in the sky," he said. Jason said he thought it was a bit strange because if it was a plane he would have seen the light from the start. "It seemed to accelerate on a 45 degree angle heading towards the atmosphere, it was only viewable for around 20 seconds, and then it appeared to get brighter as it made its course and then it was gone," he said. "I didn't see it leave the atmosphere (doubt I'd know even if it did) it just vanished." Jason said he was left puzzled by the object he had seen in the sky. "I doubt it was a plane as they don't go towards the atmosphere, I assume a weather balloon would go directly upwards, not on an angle," he said. "I also do not think it was a rocket as this thing did not leave a trail of smoke at all, it also appeared out of nowhere, I've seen plenty of rockets in the skies over my life and this wasn't a rocket." The Bundaberg man, who wished only to be known by his first name, said he could not come up with an explanation for what he saw. "I've never seen a UFO, but I couldn't explain this and it's baffled me ever since," Jason said. He said it was impossible to think of a rational explanation for what he had seen. "I told my cousin what I had seen and she was a little scared, I've not seen anything like this before," Jason said. - NEWS MAIL.

REPORT FROM MUFON:DATE OF EVENT: May 14, 2010LOCATION OF EVENT: near Meridian, Idaho "I'm logging this report for a friend of mine who described seeing a huge, black rectangular object in the sky while driving to work this morning on I-84 westbound heading from Meridian to Nampa ID. The object moved rather slowly across the sky moving from North to South. My friend witnessed this object for a duration of 5 minutes and got a good look at the rectangular object. It did not have wings.For a while the object appeared to be following a plane, but the plane eventually took a different course and the object disappeared behind the clouds shortly afterward. This friend of mine is a trustworthy person who has been skeptical of the UFO phenomena, but now has had a sighting of her own!I trust her word, and the description I gave you is indeed accurate to what the witness saw. If you can identify this for us, or if anyone else can report seeing something similar we would really appreciate it!Thanks!"
